Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Engineer)

Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repair and maintenance work safely and in an environmentally conscious manner at our site in Moerdijk. You will work day shifts with on-call duties, which are rotated within your team. If you are also available for electrical maintenance work (E&I) or are willing to develop your skills in this area, this is an advantage. First-line fault repair during your on-call duty covers both mechanical and E&I work.

Position in the organization:

You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • You plan and carry out repair and maintenance work on mechanical installations
  • Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the management and maintenance of utilities, such as heating, steam, nitrogen and water, for production installations and buildings
  • You record the work carried out and the materials used in the Maintenance Management System
  • You will participate in project groups focusing on optimisation and new installations
  • You will maintain contact with suppliers of materials and services

Job Success Requirements:

  • Completed MBO-4 mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Proven work experience as a mechanical fitter or maintenance technician
  • Knowledge of PLC systems or a willingness to acquire this knowledge is an advantage
  • Knowledge of pumps is an advantage
  • Good written and spoken command of Dutch and English
  • Work experience in the process/chemical industry is an advantage
