One of KLK OLEO’s manufacturing sites – KL-Kepong Oleomas held a ground breaking ceremony on 5th April 2023 for their West Port 2 expansion project, marking an important milestone. This key moment reaffirms KLK OLEO’s as one of the world’s leading oleochemical producers.

Attending the ceremony were several esteemed guests, including KLK Chairman – YM Raja Tun Muhammad Alias, Group CEO – Tan Sri Lee Oi Hian, Group COO – Mr. Lee Jia Zhang, KLK Board of Directors – Dato’ Lee Hau Hian and Ms. Cheryl Khor, BKB Board of Directors – Tan Sri Rastam, Dr. Tunku Alina, Mr. Lee Yuan Zhang and Mr. Lim Ban Aik, Deputy CEOs – Mr. Kow Tiat Yong and Mr. Siew Fook Ming, and Group CFO – Mr. William Ong Eng San alongside members of the MKLK corporate engineering team as well as the West Port 2 site project team.

This expansion is focused on increasing capacity for fatty alcohols and fatty acids fractions, increasing KLK OLEO’s capability to better serve our global customers.
