In efforts toward achieving green energy and sustainable manufacturing, KL-Kepong Oleomas (“KLKOM”) embarked on a project to utilise vent gas as an additional fuel source.

This initiative has reduced approximately 25% of natural gas consumption by KLKOM and is projected to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by about 1,900 tons of CO2 equivalent per annum.

This achievement supports KLK Group’s journey in reducing our dependency on fossil fuel combustion to low carbon alternatives, particularly in oleochemicals manufacturing for KLK OLEO.
