KLK Emmerich happy to vaccinate their employees

On 8 June 2021 KLK Emmerich started the vaccination campaign for their employees. Around 120 employees in Emmerich registered for the vaccination with the BioNTech vaccine and were very happy and enthusiastic about the vaccination offer of the company. On Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. the first employee received his vaccination syringe from the company doctor Claudia Braun who was supported by the doctor’s assistant Angela Metzdorf. In the course of the day every ten minutes the next one was vaccinated and the vaccination campaign continued on 10, 15 and 17 June. Six weeks later everyone will get his second vaccination.

Before the campaign started, a suitable place had to be found. Thus the canteen in Emmerich was converted into a vaccination center. Plastic walls were set up and appropriate stations for registration, for drawing up the syringes and for vaccination were erected, all of which were of course separated from each other. Also the Maltese emergency service was present with a paramedic and an ambulance as a precaution.

The complete organization was in the hands of Silke Vlaswinkel from the HR department. She made sure that KLK got the vaccine and that the vaccination center was set up.

Thanks to Silke, Claudia, Angela and all others involved for their great effort!

Managing Director Ralf Ewering was very glad to submit the vaccination offer to the staff, by the way not only in Emmerich but also at our Düsseldorf site – around 45 employees took the opportunity there and were vaccinated by the Henkel works doctor.

Fortunately, we now have reached another milestone in coping with the Covid-19 pandemic.
