KLK receives Gold rating from RAM Sustainability

RAMC has reaffirmed Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad’s („KLK“) Sustainability Rating at Gold (G2). This rating covers the entire Kuala Lumpur Kepong Group, including both Plantation and Manufacturing.

Just to recap, KLK received a Gold rating in 2019 in the inaugural RAM Sustainability rating exercise, the only Plantation company to be rated back then.

In the RAM Sustainability Rating report, among some of the highlighted factors for the G2 rating include:

  1. Strong governance
  2. Robust human rights commitment
  3. Commitment to No Deforestation, No Peat and No Exploitation (NDPE)
  4. Positive impact on the economy and society through sustainable palm oil production and supply chain
  5. Newly acquired operations are required to comply with the Group’s Sustainability Policy relating to NDPE and RSPO certification
