Privacy Statement

General Information

KLK EMMERICH GmbH (KLK) respects the privacy of every individual who visits our website. This privacy statement is intended to give you an overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified. We would like to inform you below about how we apply the provisions of data protection law, in particular the European Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), what information we collect during your visit to our website and how it is used.

Responsible Body

The responsible body for the processing of your personal data is:

KLK EMMERICH GmbH
Steintor 9
46446 Emmerich am Rhein
Germany
Phone: +49 2822 72-0

Email: [email protected]

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses or similar).

General Information on Data Processing

Personal data is only collected by us (e.g. by filling out the contact form or sending an e-mail) if you provide it to us of your own accord and give us your consent. Other technical data (so-called server log file data) are collected and processed automatically when you visit our website.

We assure you that we retain control over the data you transmit to us. The data is stored and processed by us or by our provider, who acts on our behalf. It may be that the data is stored or processed in whole or in part in other countries (e.g. in Malaysia). In these countries, different data protection regulations may apply than in the country from which you access our website. We ensure that the provider commissioned with data processing has established appropriate protective measures to ensure state-of-the-art data security in order to protect your personal data in accordance with the requirements that apply in the country from which you access the site.

The data automatically stored by you in the course of visiting our website will be deleted or anonymized, including the IP address, as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purposes. Your personal data provided in the context of contacting us will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent or the purpose of the data storage also ceases to apply. Insofar as mandatory legal provisions exist, such as statutory retention periods, these remain unaffected.

We would like to point out that the Internet-based transmission of data (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps, so that complete protection cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, you as a user of our website are free to provide us with your personal data by other means (e.g. by telephone).

Server-Log-Files

The use of our website is generally possible without storing personal data.

With each call to our website, the following general information, so-called server log file data, is automatically stored on the server about the access:

  • the date
  • the time
  • the name of your provider
  • your IP address
  • the website from which you are visiting us
  • the website you are visiting

When using this server log file data, we do not perform any personal identification. The purpose of the collection is the error-free provision of the website and the safeguarding of our information technology systems. The data protection basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

E-Mail Contact Form or Sending an E-Mail

To contact us, you can either use the contact form available on our website or contact us via the e-mail address also provided on the website. If you use the contact form, your mandatory information is limited to the information required to process the contact request (e-mail address). Further details are optional.
Alternatively, it is also possible to contact us via the e-mail address provided on the website.

The respective processing of personal data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the inquiries directed to us and thus on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO or on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO, if this has been requested.

Use of Cookies

Cookies are small files that are stored on your hard drive associated with the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer. They serve to make the Internet offer as a whole more user-friendly and effective.

We use cookies in accordance with the legal regulations. Therefore, we obtain prior consent from users, except where this is not required by law. In particular, consent is not required if the storage and reading of information, including cookies, is absolutely necessary in order to provide the user with a telemedia service (i.e. our online offer) expressly requested by the user.

We store the cookies, insofar as they are absolutely necessary, on the data protection basis of Article 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, as we as the operator of the website have a legitimate interest in the use of cookies in order to be able to provide our website technically error-free and optimized for you.

We store all other cookies on the data protection basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO only after your consent.

Web Analytics

Google Analytics

On our website, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), on the basis of Article 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our websites is transmitted to a Google server in the USA, stored there on our behalf, analyzed and the result is made available to us in the form of an anonymized usage profile. We have activated the IP anonymization offered by Google on our website. This means that your IP address is shortened.

Google will use this information on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating the use of our online offer by users, compiling reports on the activities within this online offer and providing us with other services relating to the use of this online offer and internet usage. In doing so, pseudonymous usage profiles of the users can be created from the processed data.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not merged with other data from Google.

As already described above, you can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your internet browser accordingly and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. It is also possible to prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link as an add-on: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

This browser add-on tells Google that no data and information related to website visits may be transmitted to Google.

Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of data generated by Google, especially when using mobile devices by setting a so-called opt-out cookie, which you should not delete as long as you wish to maintain your objection. Further information on this can also be found at: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Further information on Google Analytics and the applicable Google Analytics Terms of Use and Privacy Policy can be found at: http://google.com/intl/de_de/analytics/ ; http://google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and http://google.de/policies/privacy/.

Google Fonts

We integrate the Google Fonts of the provider Google locally on our servers, whereby the user data is used solely for the purpose of displaying the fonts in the user’s browser. The integration is based on our legitimate interests within the meaning of Article 6 par. 1 lit f DSGVO in a technically secure, maintenance-free and efficient use of fonts, their uniform display and taking into account possible restrictions under licensing law for their integration. Service provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Website: https://fonts.google.com; Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Tag Manager

On our website we used the Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is an application that allows providers to use website tags from applications such as Google Analytics through a single interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-free domain and only collects the IP address, which is necessary for the Tag Manager to function. The tool controls other tags, which in turn may collect data under certain circumstances. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If disabled at the domain or cookie level, then this disabling remains set for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. The use of Google Tag Manager is based on the data protection law of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. We as website operator have a legitimate interest in a quick and uncomplicated integration and management of various tools on our website. If we request a corresponding consent, the processing is carried out exclusively on the data protection basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; your consent can be revoked at any time.

Cloudflare

On our website, we use a so-called Content Delivery Network (“CDN”) of the technology service provider Cloudflare Inc, 101 Townsend St. San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”). A content delivery network is an online service that is used in particular to deliver large media files (such as graphics, page content or scripts) through a network of regionally distributed servers connected via the Internet. The use of Cloudflare’s Content Delivery Network helps us to optimize the loading speeds of our website. The processing is carried out on the data protection basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, as we as website operators have a legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision, as well as improvement of the stability and functionality of our website.

For more information, please see Cloudflare’s privacy policy at: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

Font Awesome

We use so-called web fonts on our website for the uniform display of fonts. The provider is Fonticons, Inc, 120 South Central Ave, Clayton, MO 63105, USA (“Fonticons”). When you access a website, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to the servers of Fonticons, Inc.

This enables Fonticons to know that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of web fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of the content of our website. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font of your computer will be used.

You can find more information about Font Awesome at https://fontawesome.com/help and in the privacy policy of Font Icons: https://fontawesome.com/privacy
