Sales Executive

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support new business development activities through market research, lead generation, customer profiling, and preparation of sales proposals, with progressive exposure to account ownership as competency develops.
  • Assist in engaging customers and key decision-makers by supporting sales meetings, follow-ups, and coordination activities, while learning relationship management and value-selling techniques.
  • Act as a supporting point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring timely communication, order coordination, and service responsiveness to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Monitor customer feedback, market trends, and competitive developments, escalating insights to the sales team to support tactical adjustments and opportunity identification.
  • Support the management of distributors and channel partners by coordinating communications, tracking performance indicators, and assisting in execution of agreed commercial plans.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (Technical, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Marketing) to ensure smooth execution of sales activities, order fulfilment, and customer support.
  • Participate actively in structured training, mentoring, and on-the-job learning to build product knowledge, commercial acumen, and independent sales capability over time.

Job Success Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; early-career candidates or those with up to 2–4 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a long-term career in sales within the chemical, oleochemical, lubricants, or specialty materials industry.
  • Exposure to customer-facing roles, sales support, operations, or supply chain coordination is an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn technical products, commercial frameworks, and end-to-end sales processes through structured training and hands-on experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with customers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail in managing customer information, pricing, and documentation.
  • Demonstrated learning agility, resilience, and a proactive mindset in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Open to travel as required to support customer visits, distributor engagements, and training exposure.
